One of my goals at Fifth Avenue Christian Church is to introduce people to Jesus, and then help them get better acquainted. I want to provide an atmosphere where every person feels welcome and does not have to be concerned about being made to feel embarrassed or “put on the spot”. At the same time I also want to challenge every person to dig deeper and glean the treasures from God’s Word. One of my favorite preachers says we need “To dig our wells deep, and irrigate widely”. Ultimately, I want to see a church of self directed learners. People who have weaned themselves from the milk, and have moved on to the meat of God’s Word.
Because of that, I want to intrude you to two of my favorite teachers. I can recommend both of these men without any reservations. If you have a desire to study more about The Life of Christ, Eschatology (The study of end times), creationism, basic Christian Doctrine, or developing a Christian World View I would encourage you to start with these two teachers.
Chuck McCoy and Mark Moore have both earned the reputation of being deep thinkers and they will challenge you in your own walk with Christ. Both have excellent websites that are easy to navigate. And both men will challenge you to study deeper.
